I agree with Big George.  We have gone to great lengths to start up this Forum.  In the past all we have seen is Forums that consist of bitching and whinging and chest puffing.  All really boring stuff and of no interest to anyone.  That is why we are trying our utmost to make this forum different from any others.  Judging by the views of the forum, there are lots of people visiting and reading the posts which feedback tells us they find interesting.  It is only intersting because people put the time and effort into posting the information.  So come on, give us a hand and put some articles up for everyone to look at or comment on.  No advertising, no hidden agendas, no marketing databases being compiled, just good honest discussion about a great industry.  I look forward to hearing from you

Hi this is my first post. I have read with great the interesting posts on this forum website.

I am astounded at times by the what appears to be rude or uncalled for remarks.

I have learnt over my time as an Investigator that there are no silly or stupid questions and ones with the experience, knowledge and skills should welcome enquiring minds and help where possible.

I do factual type investigations within mainly the Cairns area but also have been required to work all over the Atherton Tablelands, Townsville, and out to the various mine sites in the region.

A lot of the enquiries are for both WorkCover and Insurance, but I also have had various QLD Government investigations.

This makes a nice change from criminal investigations within the Army (19 y) doing various investigations from simple and serious  thefts & damage to serious injuries, drugs, deaths, motor vehicle accidents, and various fraud offences.

I was also previously the WO1 Invest that ran the Investigation Training Section where many of you guys have been doing your role playing at Holsworthy. So I am glad that you are doing such a great job and enjoying the experience. I enjoy reading your posts on the events.

I left the Training School in late Nov 2006 and loved every minute teaching the enquiring minds of our Defence members going through the various courses from the basic police to Special Investigation and Crime Scene.

I sadly left the Army due to family reasons; and moved home to Cairns for a nice break (however I am a happy active reservist).

So I am looking forward to discussions regarding factual type of work.

I am happy to also answer any questions.

Regards,

Vicki. :P

Hi everyone, this is also my first post although I have been checking this site out for a couple of months now.

I am a relative newbie working as I do from my base in Hervey Bay, Qld.
I tend to favour factual investigations however I do provide surveillence if required and as a Commercial agent I serve documents and chase debtors. I cover Bundaberg, Hervey Bay/Maryborough, Gladstone and just about anywhere else subject to negotiation.

I have received several positive enquiries from following up posts on this forum along with Investigateway. I think it is a fantastic resource and point of contact for all in this fascinating industry, and we should all contribute to its sucess.  I am grateful the vast majority of the posts are positive and instructive/constructive, it's great to be able to access others experiences and knowledge and begin building a network of contacts and colleagues.

I am having a great time working for myself and enjoy the work immensely, I look forward to catching up with many of you in the future, best wishes to you all.
