Hi all :)

This is my first post to the forum.  I am so excited to be going back to Sydney to complete the statement taking & covert components of cert 3 in investigations before xmas. So I am very much a newbie!

My question.. Is there a way of finding a list of shareholders to a particular company? Perhaps even if a person is not major shareholder? I got excited when I found EDGAR but then soon realised it was US site.
Also thought that using details of individual that ASIC & ABR might assist,. Obviously I don't want to waste money purchasing info blindly, so perhaps my question should be.. would ASIC or ABR be of use to see which pies an individual has his fingers in?

Just a nudge in the right direction would be helpful. Having fun in the mean time exploring search engines and becoming familiar with different sites.

Thanks in advance.

Iris Skye
ps. apologies if this is posted in the wrong area & if these are not the sort of question a person should be asking..

Reposting 'thankyou' to AJ for reponse.. I felt like a dumba** after my last post :) so deleted it..

Asx was helpful.. I'm still not sure whether I can actually find what it is I 'think' I am looking for.. Will leave my questions for the course instructor this week.

cheers

Iris Skye

There's no such thing as a dumb question.

Finding company shareholders is easy, but not usually free. Sign up with a company like e-search (www.esearch.net.au), or ABR, or any of the other brokers listed on ASIC's website, and for any given company you can purchase a company report (about $13? They're not expensive) that shows who all current directors and shareholders are.
