Before you buy, has anyone got one of these models or similar? The price may seem good but unless you look into what it can and can't do, it may be a waste of money.

Look into specifics regarding auto/Manual focus, what about a view finder, this will save your vehicle being lit up when filming at night...Just some of the things to take on board before purchasing...

The camera's sold so quickly. That's good advice, I reckon going into a store to try out the item before purchase is the most fool proof way to purchase.

I also notice that some DVCs have bright red lights when filming...so blacking those lights out, or even removing them is probably a good idea for night surveillance.
