I am constantly amazed at how clever the Y Generation is when it comes to gadgets and business knowledge in general.  Some of the newly licensed PIs I have met are truly the professionals of the future.

There is an organisation in Adelaide called D.O.M.E.  The letters stand for Don't Overlook Mature Expertise.  It means basically that mature age people have the experience, the skills and the knowledge, just as the younger generations do.  We have grey hair and speak slower, that's all.

I have enjoyed putting blurbs on this forum and as far as I know, BG (the forum administrator) has given his blessing to everyone's posts, including mine and to the best of my memory, he has only told someone to 'behave' once.

David in Newcastle, MsLJames, Joaldrew, Krusty1 and a few other shining examples of the private investigators of tomorrow, are all coming up through the ranks and will no doubt become very successful within their chosen field.  I (and I am sure other 'oldies' join me) in wishing them all the very best.

To the person who rang me today on my mobile phone and who raised their voice, called me names and then promptly hung up, I would like to mention that this is a very competitive business and the forum is great for students to network, test whether the profession suits them and if so, further their studies and in doing so, their qualifications.

However, I request you do not phone me again.

Hi Catzeyes,

I, for one, would love to know who the person is that called you. At least his forum username?

We speak to many people of course including the people that run the big agencies. I'd love a chance to put in a bad word for the chap! Go on, go on Catzeyes!

Hi Catzeyes,

Firstly, I am very sorry to hear someone abused you like that. That is despicable behavior.

Secondly, though, many thanks for the most kind words. I'm truly humbled and I very much appreciate all the insights and advice and robust discussion on this forum.

Sincere regards,
 David W

It's all good now.  Moving on.  Bigger things happening.

BG have sent you a PM with some sad news about a PI in another State.

Thanks for the mention Lesley,

What I don't understand is that in any profession you need to be professional and build bridges, the PI Industry is even more reliant on good behaviour both ethically and professionally.

Being rude or unprofessional wont get you far in any industry, but in the PI industry you are burning bridges before you even have them!

Anyway, love the way you handle these...

Jo
