Hi YOGA

As you can see I moved your post. It was rather lost where it was, so I am hopeful some people can offer you what you need.

I, for one, congratulate you for making the effort to continue the course in the face of hardship and challenges. The reward at the end will be that much greater, I am sure.

Depending on the extent of impact of your medical issues, you can always find areas of investigation where you don't have to do things that are physically too difficult for you. I remember my four years of surveillance, sitting crouched in the back of a van for endless hours. I got out of surveillance and into factuals and this alleviated the physical problems that arose from my surveillance work. There are other options too of course.

Good luck YOGA, never give up, never give up, never give up.

Hi Yoga. I have just received my certificate in the mail after completing the course in 13 months.  A work place injury changed my path. After making a joke to my former boss about going to work for Work cover I soon found myself enrolled and studying cert 3.
I have been off work recovering for 3 years and should have been able to finish cert 3 in 3 months. Most frustrating but I took my time and studied when my body would allow. I did try to study on the bad days but found my work was medioka  and I knew I could have done a better job had I been more patient with myself.

The injury I have has stoped any chance of returning to my former job and also stoped me from joining the Army reserves witch was extremely important to me. So close…. I was off to Kapooka  in a matter of  weeks when I had an accident. This I found very hard to deal with.

After completing this course I have gained back much needed confidence and I have excitement in my eyes again. Don’t get me wrong I’m scared out of my wits but I’m sure it has helped my healing and I’m well on my way to being on the road again. I don’t have that desire for the Army anymore and can concentrate on a job that is within reach. I can’t explain the Mental drive I have right now.

I feel better suited to surveillance academically and physically. There are so many options out there when you get your licence. Just have to find what will suit you best.

Try not to get frustrated by the time it’s taking. Don’t study on the bad days. You learn more when your not distracted.  At the end of the day you feel better when your feedback is good. Let your body heal because once you finished the course your brain will want to Go Go Go.  You are going to want to be at your best. And most of all don’t beat your self up. We are students and its all about the leaning. If you want some thing bad enough you will make it happen.

Feel free to email me.
