Many thanks to everyone that offerred assistance.  I am happy to say that I am currently at Dubai Airport waiting to go home.  I crossed the border from Saudi to Bahrain today on the sea causeway and then a quick flight to Dubai.

It has been a long and sometimes stressful 36 hrs with my passport being taken to the other side of the Middle East and back again and phone calls to cell phones which change numbers everyday...hahahahaha.  It really was like a movie and I can laugh now but at the time it was very real.

I will put the story together when I get back.  I am only in Australia for two days and then off overseas again for two weeks but this time on a holiday that I planned two years ago for my 50th.  Somewhere far away from the Middle East.  However, in saying that, I will be going back but maybe a little smarter and a little wiser.

So now it's time to spend some quality time with my wife and one of my daughters.

One thing I learnt, nothing is impossible in life.  When all the chips are down and you think that there is no way out, take a step backwards and watch, listen and learn.

Treat each problem as you would an investigation.  Cut the problem into bite size pieces and digest the problem slowly.  Seperate the good from the bad.  Work on positives and you will start to see clearly.

Life is good if you make it good.

"Remember, if you think you can your right, if you think you can't your right"

More later................wheres that glass of red !!!!!

HI All

Just a quick post but I returned to Australian for two days and am now in Rome, Italy.

This time things are going well.  Spoke with the local authorities about some training here even though I am officially on holidays.

Be back on deck in three weeks.

Hi Adrian

Have enjoyed your story and pics to date.

Emailed you before I learned here that you're on leave now and still three weeks away from home.

Have a great time, see you when you get back.
