hi marty,
i have done work int he uk for a bit, mainly surveillance. it used to be that there were no licencing issues and there was a lot of work around particularly in the major capitols, London, Manchester, birmingham etc.
most of the work was farmed out by security companies, legal firms and insurance much the same as here.
the industry over there was good to work in and in my experiance the pay was better and in general the jobs were longer, however they also had more of a risk to them, maybe that is the nature of the country.
if you decide to go i'm sure you will succeed as there was lot of work around, i recently went back to assist a mate on a very big job involving about 23 investigators and surveillance experts.
there is however a change being enfrced regards to training and licencing due in around october 07 i believe.
check
www.the-sia.org.ukor
www.theabi.org.ukyou should find all the info there somewhere, and afterthat just google away for the companies. dont forget to check security companies as the y handle a lot of surveillance issues, often for government departments.
hope it helps.

P.S if you have any info on the whole counterfeit working ring i would be interested as i like the sound of that.
