Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce ourselves, Cabal Investigations, a small investigations company based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Apologies if this sounds like a bit of a shameless plug, but isn't that the point of this particular board?

We routinely undertake the following types of work:

> Surveillance
> Process serving (Civil & Criminal court documents)
> Locating persons of interest (debtors, witnesses etc)
> General investigations (a bit of a catch-all phrase, I know, but anything from background checks, staff theft or misconduct investigations, field visits etc).

If we can ever be of assistance to anyone, should your enquiries extend over to New Zealand, please let us know. While we are based in the Canterbury region of the South Island, we routinely work and maintain contact with selected other investigators throughout the country.

We are fully licenced through the Ministry of Justice and are members of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Investigators (http://http://www.nzipi.org.nz)

I hope to contribute to the boards in future.

Regards,

Hi Paul,
I know this is an old post but just wanted to say hi to a fellow Cantab.

Im currently living in Melbourne and doing my Cert 3. Im originally from Timaru and was in the coppers in Timmas and Christchurch for about 6 years. I policed on the Beat in the square and it was just crazy to see the devastation from the earthquake in that part of town.

I have a mate still in the job that showed me some police pictures of the town and it was just crazy and I feel for you all.

Cheers

Hi Krusty,

Just about everyone who leaves Christchurch, or Canterbury, for Australia seems to end up in Melbourne.

It's just weird...

Yeah, things have been a bit rough lately but life goes on. No sense in worrying about things you have no control over.

Tell you what, if things work out well for you in a couple of years, give me a call and maybe I'll head over the ditch myself. I just wish the Aussies could speak English properly.

Cheers!

Hi Paul,

Just a quick hello, and to say I have a brother who lives on the Southshore, so I can understand what you may be going through. Whenever I hear of more tremors on the news, my txts to him are repetitive 'everything ok'. Personally I don't know how you would stay in that constant fear/threat.

Hope your business makes it through ok.

Hi NB,

The reality is that once you realise that you have no power over what is happening, there is nothing really to be afraid of.

I am pissed off, however, because my favourite restaurants and cafes are closed and that my otherwise 'normal' life has been grossly interfered with.

*shakes fist at sky*

Oh well.
