Hi folks,

I don't usually take on people tracing jobs, but it seems I've landed one and having exhausted most of my background checks, before I hit the pavement and make some inquiries with people, I'm wondering if someone with access to any of the skip databases would like to lend a hand - I have a Mirus account, but to be honest, they're fairly useless, and my account with TICA expired (because I never really used it).

If anyone has access to make TICA inquiries, or accounts with the like of CreditSoft / FCS, and would like to give me a hand, I'm happy to pay the cost of the data access(es) plus something for your time. Drop me a line at chris(at)rinv.com.au if you're willing and able!

Hope to hear from you.

Chris

Hi Chris

TICA can only be useful if the subject is a tenant plus has a bad history which has been acknowledged by the Tribunal. I would say only a small minority of people are included on TICA.

Seeing you mentioned FCS, why not go to http://www.abr.com.au where you can do "casual" searches. The fee is a wee bit higher than on account, but hardly worth worrying about. And ABR has access to the same data as all the other reporting agencies.

Thanks BG, I'll go have a squizz at ABR and see what I can find.

TICA's database was great.. not just because it had bad tenant info, but also if you've ever applied to rent a place, your details are held by TICA (and accessible by commercial agents.. woo!) - I remember when evaluating that database I looked up a number of known people and found all sorts of confirmations as to the validity of their data. It's not bad.. but getting access to it these days is pretty tricky :/
