Thanks Jockey!

I'm going to be scouring the online car listings over the next few weeks for a car before I arrive in Australia. Can't wait to arrive and get started in the industry!

I swear that just looking  at those pics of the cooler lowered the temperature in my car by a couple degrees. Why buy a cooler when I can just print out a photo and tape it to my dash...?

I like and will probably be doing something similar to mine in the future, although more likely to address power consumption and spare battery first since we're heading into Autumn and keeping cool is not going to be a problem soon.

Wow fantastic stuff Jockey, thanks. Love the cooler. I love the Ford Territory, I'm south of Perth and they are everywhere here. Dropped the kids at school yesterday and within 30mins had seen 17, I kid you not. Ever since I followed one the other day, I see them everywhere :) People keep telling me how much heavy they are on petrol thoe.
Again, thanks for the tips.

They are heavy on the petrol, that's why I put it on gas, but comfy as and good to drive and of course blends in anywhere..

Hey Jockey thats a finely honed and well tuned setup you have in your vehicle. Very nice.

If I ever need accomodation in a hurry I know where to go

Seriously though. You have had Magnas prior to the Territory. When it is time to get another vehicle, would you consider going back to another sedan, or would you now stick to the higher vantage point of a 4wd.

Sedan v 4wd, how much difference is there in terms of viewpoint etc for surveillance?  Simply put, is the view from the penthouse worth the extra $$?

Cheers

For the 25 plus years I have been doing surveillance I have driven sedans and this is the first SUV I have had and like it. I wouldn't say the territory is a real high vehicle a big viewing advantage as I don't feel that, more its roomy and more comfy for what I need. These days on road costs and fuel need to come into a decision when purchasing a vehicle as well as the type of income that you can/will earn meaning the reality and not what you might earn.
