An important item to carry in the car when conducting surveillance on a hot day is a 12v fan that you can clip any where to keep your temp dry and your body cool. By putting the two front windows down an inch or two you are able to have air moving around you at all times. As long as your body stays dry you will remain relatively cool and won't draw any unwarranted attention to yourself.
