Hey guys

Just a quick question. How much work is out there at the moment. We up here are in a very dry spell. Work is slim and with only to major companies up here they are both very short on work. The managing directors at my work has had meetings with major insurance companies being TIO and CGU up here and they say that Factuals are going strong but Surveillance is slowing right down.

What is it like down south at the moment. I hear Melbourne is a little quiet and a mate said that Brizzy areas are slow as well.

Any info on the industry at the moment would be good.

Cheers

Brendan

I could make something up for you SS...(I'm a student)...Personally I'm hoping that everybody is too busy doing jobs to reply. Otherwise I may as well stay in my current occupation :)

I don't do work cover so wouldn't know.  Most people I know are working at least three days a week (me included), however, it is not great at the moment.

I was doing over 80 hours a week now lucky if there is 20 a week been like that for about 5 weeks now. Starting to scare me and my boss. Only thing keeping my head above water now is a few private infidelity jobs.

All in all i think it might be a bit of a Low in the industry maybe cos of the election and tax time.

Mate, it is kinda quiet at the moment and has been for a few weeks...Well, that's what I'm hearing from people, personally though, I'm plodding along nicely.

Having said that, a few years back it was really quiet for long periods and a lot of people struggled to stay afloat but the ones that made it through were rewarded with plenty of work on the other side.

So, if you were to ask those same people now if it is quiet you would probably get a very different answer from someone who has only been in the industry a couple of years and has only seen the good times.

WOW didnt the work go from zero to hero in a week. I cant keep up now.

This is what we do it for and results are brilliant. Love working on big jobs and getting results which go to court and we get the outcome we want. Good feedback from the clients stating the video evidence is what got us over the line. Yeah boy

Sorry just excited. Love doing this job.

When it rains it pours. Have had to fly another mate up from Brizzy to help out now as the work has gone crazy.
