I have a technical question in regards to extracting snapshot images from video footage.

what do you use to extract still images from video footage, is it a camera feature, a special PC program?

any help would be great thanks.

Depening on what type of video camera you have, you can either capture the shot from the video internally through the video. Or you can buy a number of video capture programs, I use AV Labs Model No. AVL681B which you can search and buy online for around 50 to 60 Dollars I think it was.

If its a hard drive camera and records in AVI you can capture stills through Windows Movie Maker. Its a free program on your computer. Other then that we use Sony Movie Studio Platinum 10, its a great program and you can capture many stills through that.
